Rallying for a Cause: MEMRLTA’s Inaugural Charity Tennis Day

On 24 March 2026, the Midweek Eastern Metropolitan Regional Ladies Tennis Association (MEMRLTA) hosted its very first Charity Tennis Day, bringing together a strong and spirited community for a meaningful cause.

Held at the beautiful MCC Glen Iris Valley Tennis Club, the event welcomed 80 women for a day that blended friendly competition with genuine connection. From the first serve to the final point, the courts were filled with energy, camaraderie and a shared purpose.

This wasn’t just about tennis. It was about women coming together, supporting one another, and showing what’s possible when a community rallies behind a cause that matters. The atmosphere throughout the day reflected that: warm, inclusive and full of encouragement.

$5,000 Raised for Breast Cancer Support Through Community Fundraising

Thanks to the support of major sponsor Bendigo Bank, along with generous raffle prize donations and the enthusiasm of everyone involved, the event raised an incredible $5,000 for Treasure Chest Charity.

These funds will go directly towards supporting individuals navigating breast cancer, helping us continue to provide practical resources and care when it’s needed most.

We extend our sincere thanks to the MEMRLTA Committee for bringing this event to life, to the sponsors and donors for their generosity, and to every participant who took to the court and contributed to the day.

A fantastic first event, and a brilliant reminder of what community can achieve together.
