Treasure Chest Charity is a not-for-profit dedicated to caring, supporting, reconstructing and empowering persons affected by breast cancer. We are an independent volunteer committee based in Melbourne with a mission of improving the access to and quality of breast cancer services.

 Where do fundraising efforts go?

Each year we look forward to hosting The Treasure Chest Charity Men with Breast Intentions Gala Dinner and Spring Luncheon to raise awareness and funds for our cause.

Our funds go towards the care, reconstruction, support and empowerment of people in the public health system who want to know about options or choose to undergo breast reconstruction after their breast cancer treatment.

We work closely with the Royal Women's Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospital to provide funds for equipment and resources.

Why we have chosen to help the Shared Breast Services of the Royal Women's and Royal Melbourne Hospitals:

We recognise the vulnerability of women about to undergo or who are undergoing breast cancer reconstruction.

Our charter is to provide funds to support services that consider the ‘whole’ person, and by doing so reduce the impact of the disease and its treatment.

All illnesses have physical and psychological repercussions of some degree, however women who are about to undergo, or who have undergone breast surgery for cancer, are vulnerable to significant feelings of anxiety and loss; of their selfhood (identity), womanhood (sexuality), esteem and capacity to cope…and this is where Treasure Chest's work is most important.

A Touch of Red - Spring Luncheon

A huge thank to everyone who splashed on some red and lunched with us on Saturday November 17, 2018.

The Treasure Chest Luncheon was a huge success, with over $56,000 raised on the day, enabling us to purchase the SPY Portable Handheld Imager (SPY-PHI). This incredible piece of technology can visualise and assess blood flow and follow the pathway of cancer in real-time, allowing surgeons to confidently inform patients on the best course of action in their journey to recovery.

We are thrilled to be able to purchase the SPY-PHI as well as some much needed after-care packages for breast cancer patients, and could not have done this without you - our supporters, our sponsors, our donors and Treasure Chest friends.

Thank you! ❣️

To see photos from the day, head to and scroll through the gallery, download the small versions with the watermarks on them, or order digital Hi and Web res versions. For every photo that is purchased, Crossroad Media will donate $3 back to Treasure Chest, an incredibly kind gesture that we are very grateful for.

With thanks to our generous supporters:
